UNIGREEN LAUNCH APPROACHES AS PARTNERS PREPARE FOR THE KICK-OFF EVENT

The UNIGreen Project funded under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme, is set to officially begin this month, marking the start of a comprehensive regional effort to embed sustainability across higher education institutions in the Western Balkans and the EU.

The project will introduce a series of transformative actions that strengthen sustainability across universities. It will support the development of more sustainable managerial and administrative practices, create three academic courses and three MOOCs on key sustainability topics, and produce a practical handbook that helps generate sustainable initiatives and green job opportunities. In addition, UNIGreen will establish a network of academic and non-academic sustainability agents, helping to bridge the gap between universities, the labor market, and society on important sustainability issues.

The UNIGreen consortium includes eight academic and non-academic partners working together to advance sustainability in higher education:

AAB College (Kosovo) – Project Coordinator

Alma Mater Europaea – Campus College Rezonanca (Kosovo)

European University of Tirana (Albania)

University of New York Tirana (Albania)

Build Green Group (Albania)

The Balkan Forum (Kosovo)

International Hellenic University (Greece)

Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences (Poland)

UNIGreen officially begins this month, with a three-day kick-off meeting scheduled to take place from December 17th to 19th, 2025, at the premises of the coordinating institution, AAB College.
