Taking place today, 15 December 2017 from 10:30 – Round table discussion in Tirana with representatives from the Government of the Republic of Albania, Vocational Education and Training Providers, experts, international organizations, diplomatic presence, academic institutions, CSOs and media.

The aim is to foster discussion on the trends and developments in the education system, and challenges to strengthening regional cooperation in this field.

The Balkan Forum will present the key findings from the briefing looking at the current state of the education system in the countries of the region. During the course of this roundtable, important issues will be addressed for the region and especially for Albania related to:

  • The main common concerns of educational systems in the countries of the region. What are the key concrete challenges to strengthening regional cooperation in the field of education and how to overcome them?
  • In what direction should attention be focused on educational developments, especially for Albania?
  • How does good governance through accountability affect strengthening of the quality of education in Albania, and of regional cooperation in this field?
