Roundtable “Challenges to education system and opportunities for regional cooperation”

On 15 December 2017, The Balkan Forum in partnership with Professor Tomi Treska from Albania, launched their regional briefing on education at the roundtable discussion held in Tirana entitled “Challenges to education system and opportunities for regional cooperation”.

Findings and recommendations presented by Professor Treska opened the discussions with Members of Parliament, Ministry of Economy, media, experts, university professors, school principals and donors from Albania. Participants  at this event expressed an interest and commitment to foster regional cooperation and partnership on education.

They provided numerous examples of initiatives, ideas and recommendations that could contribute to advancing a joint regional agenda on education, including through developing a regional reporting format, establishing regional education standards and reliable systems to assess the progress, establishing policies and mechanisms that promote and guarantee the quality of education.
